VFW’s The National Defense Signs with Radio America
February 05, 2009
KANSAS CITY, Mo.
— The National Defense
proudly announces a new partnership with Radio America Network.
On Sunday, February 8, 2009,
The National Defense
will begin airing on forty-four additional affiliates across the country.
The National Defense
, is the only nationally syndicated talk radio show that focuses exclusively on topics concerning today's active-duty military, veterans and those who support them. Since its initial debut, the show has demonstrated phenomenal growth from its loyal listener base, burgeoning list of radio affiliates and ever-increasing online audience.
The show enjoys great popularity with patriotic Americans, top military leadership, and elected officials. Previous guests include: past presidential hopefuls including Senator John McCain and President Barrack Obama, top tiered military leaders, noted authors and celebrities. Additionally, in an effort to capture the real stories of U.S. service members, the show was aired during Newberry’s embeds in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Our new partnership with Radio America offers us a great opportunity to further our reach in bringing the stories of our nation’s heroes directly to the American public,” said Jerry Newberry, VFW Director of Communications and Host of The National Defense.
