For New Users:
By clicking Sign Up, you will be prompted to enter your email address and create a password. Once you have chosen your password, your account will be created and you will gain access to the portal.
For Returning Users:
Sign into the portal using the email address and the password you created when you originally signed up for the portal. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot your password?" and follow the prompts to reset your password.
The Unmet Needs Program strives to assist current active-duty service members (to include activated Guard/Reserve members) and their families during financial hardship.
However, we are unable to assist with financial emergencies as the application process can take time to process.
To be eligible to apply, you must be a service member, who is currently on active-duty (to include activated Guard/Reserve members) whose financial hardship is a direct result of a current deployment, military pay error at no fault of the service member, or currently pending a medical discharge due to service-connected injuries/illnesses received while on active duty.
To avoid email correspondence being sent to your junk/spam folder, please add unmetneeds@vfw.org to your contact list.
Though this may be a mobile friendly website, using a computer is the only option to fill out this application. Using a mobile device of any kind will greatly hinder your ability to fully access items in this application.
Any application not submitted will be deleted after 3 days.
