VFW DISPATCH – April 2016

h_border

As the VFW’s summer calendar quickly fills up, it has us reflecting on the vital work VFW Posts provide to communities across the globe. For decades, VFW Posts have been pillars of support in their communities, and now is the time to reach out and show everyone what the VFW does and why our mission is so important.

If your Post doesn’t have an online presence, it’s a great time to start! Don’t be afraid to utilize every available tool to communicate with the military and veterans community. Capture a photo or video during your Post’s next community service project, activity or troop support event, and share it to social media using the hashtag #VFWPostPride. Your Post’s event or project will then be shared with thousands on VFW.org.

Our services and programs are vital to veterans, and with the VA undergoing continued changes, our role in protecting veterans will continue to be ever important. As veterans, we are our best advocates. Let’s remind everyone in America that No One Does More For Veterans than the VFW!

Respectfully,

Your VFW Membership Team
