The Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation is the official 501(c)(3) of the VFW. It exists to provide financial resources to the vital assistance programs of the VFW. Through our strategic relationships with supporters, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation fills in governmental assistance gaps for troops abroad, military families back in the U.S. and America’s often-forgotten veterans. These programs are provided at no cost to the recipients and require no Veterans of Foreign Wars affiliation.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Foundation is the official 501(c)(3) charity of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.

The VFW Foundation was established in 1996 to assist in securing financial resources for VFW programs and services.

Through strategic relationships with corporations, private foundations, and individual supporters, the VFW Foundation helps fill in governmental assistance gaps for U.S. service personnel, veterans, and military families.

What We Do

With your help, we can continue to support programs that:

Award grants to VFW Posts, Auxiliaries and Departments as well as qualifying nonprofits providing the vital support America's heroes and their families deserve.
Provide scholarships to student veterans the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals without incurring excessive student loan debt.
Support active-duty service members and their families in need of financial assistance for housing, medical or basic life needs with a grant.
Facilitate support for VA benefit claims filing assistance to service members and veterans free of charge.
Offer military veterans, regardless of when or where they served, with VFW counsel and assistance to successfully navigate VA entitlement and disability claims.
Reward America’s military heroes and their families by sponsoring admission to popular entertainment events and attractions.
