Elected officials sometimes forget the great sacrifices that come along with serving our country and the promises our nation makes to those veterans in return. It’s our job to remind them.

That’s why VFW members from across the nation will take the voice of all veterans to Capitol Hill February 26 – March 2, during our annual VFW Legislative Conference. VFW members will meet with congressional representatives to remind them of the promises they’ve made to you as a veteran and to advocate for the changes needed to better the lives of all veterans, service members and their families.

Armed with the VFW’s Priority Goals for 2017, they’ll remind congressional leaders that sequestration must end, and reduced benefits should NEVER be on the chopping block! And on March 1, VFW National Commander Brian Duffy will deliver testimony before the House and Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committees.
