VFW Represented in Community Parade

Post supports its community year-round

Members of VFW Post 10906 in Gladstone, Mo., participated in the 37th Annual Gladfest Parade on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Standing are Post Commander Bill Driscoll and Post member Howard Scott. Seated (from left) are Post Quartermaster Joe Liles, Auxiliary President Linda Stoner and Post Service Officer Stan Stoner.

With 240 members, the Post is well-represented in the community through its work in the schools with the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen essay contests. The Post color guard also presents the colors at the start of area high school football games.

And according to Liles, the honor guard typically performs more funerals in the Greater Kansas City area than any other VFW Post.
