VFW Members Donate Electrical Work for Duplex

'We greatly appreciate their hard work and expertise'

Three members from VFW Post 1631 in Concord, New Hampshire have donated their time and skills to install all electrical services in a new duplex at the VFW National Home for Children. Master electrician and Past Post Commander Richard Angwin, owner of Angwin Electric in Concord, New Hampshire along with Dexter Heath, Post Commander and Zeana Morris, Post Sr. Vice Commander, arrived at the National Home July 5th.

“The generosity of these men is saving the National Home thousands of dollars in labor,” said National Home Executive Director Patrice Green. “We greatly appreciate their hard work and expertise.”

The duplex, which is being funded by a private individual, will allow the National Home to serve two more military or veteran families on its campus.

The electricians are staying in the National Home’s Guest Lodge. To assist with travel costs, Dana Hussey, Veterans Foundation of New Hampshire Founder and President, presented them with a $500 check from the foundation shortly before they left.
