TRICARE Hosting Free Info Teleseminars

WASHINGTON — As part of November's Warrior Care Month, TRICARE is hosting a series of TeleSeminars regarding healthcare for wounded, ill and injured servicemembers. 

The seminares are expecially helpful to:

  • people who work with the wounded, ill and injured population; 
  • people who are assisting transitioning or medically retiring servicemembers; and
  • people who want to know more about TRICARE benefits for Wounded Warriors.

The schedule is as follows: 

November 5: How does Medicare affect my TRICARE benefits?
November 12:The TRICARE Transition
November 13: Lt. Gen. Eric B. Schoomaker, the Army surgeon general, discusses Army initiatives to care for our wounded, ill and injured warriors as well as their family members, and what soldiers need to know to get the care they need and deserve.
November 19: New Respite Care Benefit
November 20: Air Force - John Beckett, the Air Force Warrior and Survivor Care Program manager will detail how the Air Force provides personalized care in meeting the needs of Airmen separated as result of severe illness or injuries with Community Readiness Consultants, benefits counseling, enhanced transitional services, centralized case management and more.
