VFW National Commander Holds Talks with Chinese Officials

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In keeping with VFW’s long-standing effort to obtain a full-accounting of U.S. POW/MIA’s, newly elected VFW National Commander Thomas J. Tradewell Sr. is on a fact-finding mission to the People’s Republic of China (PRC). 

During the meeting at the ministry, Tradewell requested access to Chinese government archival information relating to MIA’s from the Korean War. The discussion culminated with the director general stating he would assist the VFW in obtaining permission to view government archives. 

Later this week, VFW National Commander Tradewell is slated to attend additional meetings with Chinese officials at the Ministry of Defense.
