WASHINGTON — The following VFW statement concerns an article in Sunday's edition of the New York Times about the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Philadelphia:
What occurred in the Philadelphia VA Medical Center is inexcusable, and the VFW has already been told that those involved have been held accountable. Veterans have earned the right to the best care available in this country. As such, the VFW calls on VA leadership to renew its emphasis on quality healthcare procedures to all staff in every medical facility. Veterans deserve no less and the VFW will accept nothing less.
