VFW Finds Recipients for Recycled Rides

Today, 60 recycled vehicles were presented to military and veterans’ families across the United States through the Recycled Rides program provided by Progressive Insurance and the National Auto Body Council (NABC). Recycled Rides was created four years ago as a way to give back within local communities across America. This year’s program is centered around helping military families in appreciation for their service to our country.

The VFW assisted Progressive Insurance and the NABC by identifying local military families in need of a reliable vehicle. VFW Post 1650 and its Ladies Auxiliary in Topeka, Kan., helped their local Progressive office locate a family of six living in the area who needed the help.

The recipients serve in the National Guard and have been riding bikes to work while their children were walking to and from school. Receiving a car from Recycled Rides will truly have an impact on their daily lives.

The VFW is proud to have been able to assist in an effort to help our military families in need and thanks Progressive Insurance, the NABC and the local body shops that made this endeavor a reality for many very deserving families.
