As violent tornadoes ripped through Oklahoma last
month, VFW knew that many of its members and their families would be deeply impacted
and need our assistance.
We asked patriotic Americans to join with our VFW
Departments, Districts, Posts and members, and donate to VFW’s Oklahoma Tornado
Relief fund.
Because of the generosity of the VFW community, the
VFW has been able to provide speedy relief to those hit hardest by the tornadoes,
some of whom lost everything.
The VFW Department of Texas Foundation and the National
Ladies Auxiliary Headquarters led the way, each donating $10,000, but support
to the VFW extended across the country.
Thank you to all who donated, demonstrating the VFW
community’s dedication to serving the needs of America’s veterans and their
families.
