VFW is a proud supporter of An Old Gloryous Celebrations 2006, sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers.
The celebration brings together communities and more than 400 shopping centers in a nationwide patriotic commemoration of Flag Day (June 14) and the U.S. flag.
All VFW members are encouraged to participate by spreading the word about the campaign and volunteering at local participating shopping centers. Volunteer opportunities are available between Memorial Day weekend and Flag Day. Opportunities include assisting with a nationwide Flag Day Pledge Drive and promising to fly the flag on Flag Day, as well as taking part in its ceremonies and events.
Some centers will support U.S. troops and veterans through additional program components.
